Pall-Ex Group has taken on a new business development manager as part of a drive to grow Fortec’s corporate client base.
Helen Day, whose former role was sales manager at Countrywide Freight Group, has a brief to develop the portfolio of corporate clients for Pall-Ex subsidiary Fortec.
She will be responsible for bringing on board higher value, corporate contracts as well as contracts that will be serviced by Fortec members throughout the UK.
Day will operate between the Fortec offices at Watford Gap, Northamptonshire and at Pall-Ex Group’s head office in Ellistown, Leicestershire.

Day said: “I have been a part of the industry for a while now and I really enjoy the fast-paced environment and the constant challenges every day brings. Finding solutions for my customers is what makes me love this job."
Referring to Fortec’s acquisition by Pall-Ex she added: “In what has been an exciting seven months for the network, I am looking forward to playing my part in increasing the pallet volumes for the business and therefore helping the network grow as its journey continues.”
Michelle Naylor, UK commercial director at Pall-Ex Group, will be working closely with Day. She said: “Helen has a proven track record within the sector, and we were particularly impressed with her wealth of expertise with freight movements between the UK and Ireland.
