Pall-Ex is continuing to expand its fleet as demand for residential deliveries continues to grow, driven by the surge in online shopping in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The network has purchased three 7.5-tonne Isuzu N75 Curtainside trucks, with tuckaway tail-lifts, with two of the vehicles delivered to Surrey-based Cranleigh Distribution Services, which Pall-Ex bought in February last year, and the third going to Launceston-based Intercounty Distribution, which is also owned by the network.

Pall-Ex has taken delivery of eight new vehicles since November 2020, with another 10 new trucks due to be delivered shortly, the network said, representing an investment of £553,000 over the next five years.

Pall-Ex UK business units MD, Barry Byers, said: “The home delivery sector is one that will only continue to grow. We understand how important it is to put in place the right tools and services to support our customers as they see demand continue to grow.”

“The new urban delivery vehicles are just a small part of our strategy to ensure that Pall-Ex and its membership continues to offer competitive solutions in a changing market.”

“Once again, Pall-Ex’s investment is a testament to its commitment to delivering excellence for every single one of its stakeholders.”
