Operators wanting to explore electric-powered trucks, vans, fleet equipment and charging options will find Freight in the City Expo on 6 November charged and ready to inspire.
Making their UK debuts at the expo will be Volvo Trucks’ FE-Electric and Renault Trucks Master ZE.
Volvo’s new 26-tonne urban distribution truck has a range of 125 miles on one charge and produces no tailpipe emissions, while Renault Trucks’ Master ZE panel van is available in three wheelbases or platform cab options, delivers 10m³ load volume and a payload of 1,056kg.
Bradshaw Electric Vehicles, meanwhile, will be showcasing its range of all-electric Goupil utility
vehicles. The Goupil G4 and G5 models are zero-emission, homologated for road use and designed for use in urban environments.
EMOSS Mobile Systems will be returning to the show to share its expertise in turning major OEM chassis into all-electric or range-extended vehicles from 7.5 tonnes up to 50-tonne artics depending on customers’ operational requirements.
Gnewt Cargo has partnered up with the Mayor of London on a project to test the performance of electric delivery vans in central London to reduce air pollution and CO2 emissions. This two-year trial will test a set of innovative new electric delivery vans, which you’ll be able to learn more about at the show.
Hiab, returns to Alexandra Palace with its range of low-emission, low-noise materials handling vehicles, from forklifts through to electric-powered truck-mounted cranes.
IVECO will be on hand to talk to visitors about its Daily Electric, which offers the choice of between one to three batteries and a range topping out at 200km on a single charge.
While o
ver on the Mercedes-Benz's stand, you’ll be able to check out the zero tailpipe emission 7.5-tonne FUSO eCanter, which is already in operation with UK operators.
Showcasing a new refrigeration technology for electric delivery vehicles, that it is claimed doesn’t drain energy from the main battery, is Sunamp. The new cold and heat batteries aim to decouple the power requirements of the fridge unit and cabin heating system from the drivetrain to extend the vehicle’s range.
And speaking of batteries, Zenobe will be on hand to explain how its business model of financing, owning and operating its own grid-connected batteries can reduce the upfront costs of electric vehicles fro operators.
Tevva Motors is also heading back to Freight in the City Expo with its 7.5-tonne electric range-extended truck, which aims to relieve EV range anxiety and provide a lower total operating cost compared with conventional diesel powered vehicles.
LDV, meanwhile, will be bringing along its EV80 electric van, which boasts a 120-mile range on a single charge.
Thermo King and Frigoblock will also be on hand to showcase their range of all-electric and hybrid refrigeration units aimed at the urban distribution market.
