Walker Logistics has appointed a new MD, with William Walker, pictured, replacing Bob Montague.
The company said Walker had held various roles since entering the family business and most recently served as sales and marketing director.
He has also been working side-by-side with Montague “to allow a smooth transition and continuity of leadership.”
It added that Montague, who has been MD for 15 years, will remain with the company as a director in a consultancy role.
Walker Logistics’ chairman and founder Philip Walker said of his son: “William has been instrumental in the company’s success and has helped transform Walker Logistics into a world-class third party logistics services provider.
“Our clients and employees can have real confidence in William being an excellent choice to lead the company in the next phase of its development.”
Walker Logistics recently said it had experienced a 400% upturn in ecommerce orders, with a leap in demand for foodstuffs, personal care and well-being products during April.
