Nelson Distribution has spent more than £1m upgrading its Belper, Derbyshire head quarters after outgrowing the site.
The haulier said it was struggling for space at its depot on Goods Road following a steady stream of contract wins, and had now doubled its office space there.
The £1m figure also includes the addition of five new Mercedes-Benz Actros 450 BigSpace tractor units, two Daf 510 Super Space tractors and an Actros 1827 rigid.
"This was just the latest batch in a series of new vehicles we've bought over the last 12 months," said MD Simon Nelson. "We ran some fuel trials and the Daf 510s came out better than the 260s, which was a bit of a surprise."
Speaking about the increased office space, Nelson said: “The improved layout of the building is more spacious and efficient. It is a building for the future to support growth in the business and it gives a better impression of the business, which we hope will impress potential customers.”
Nelson attributes much of its recent growth in turnover to work provided by its Palletforce membership, after it joined the network in 2013.
The company currently publishes abbreviated accounts, but Nelson said recent growth meant it would publish full accounts next year for the first time.
Companies can publish abbreviated accounts if they meet at least two of these three requirments: turnover is below £6.5m; they have no more than £3.6m in assets on their balance sheet; they have fewer than 51 employees.
