Morrisons and Amazon are expanding their “ultra-fast” same-day delivery service to more cities across the UK.
The service, dubbed Morrisons at Amazon, forms part of the online retailer's Prime Now operation. It is already available in four cities: Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, and parts of London as well as the home counties.
Customers can order a full grocery shop online, which is then picked at a local Morrisons store, and delivered by Amazon. The option for delivery within one hour is available for many customers across these cities.
During 2019, the service will launch elsewhere, including Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield and Portsmouth, with areas in the pipeline.
The expansion will see Morrisons becoming a retailer on Amazon's Prime Now website and app, through 'Morrisons at Amazon', and selling directly to customers. It will also continue as a wholesaler for all Amazon's other UK grocery offers for customers.
