Ballyvesey Holdings, which confirmed the demise of its Birds Transport and Logistics business in May, saw both turnover and profit growth in the year to 30 September 2016.
Newly published accounts for the group, which owns Montgomery Transport, Montracon trailers, and a number of truck and heavy plant dealerships, saw turnover climb 1.4% in the period to £621.4m (2015: £613m).
Pre-tax profit climbed from £4.6m in the previous year to £6.9m.
The directors said they were pleased with the results and Ballyvesey Holdings remained committed to growing organically and through acquisition.
In separate accounts, it was revealed Birds Transport and Logistics made a pre-tax loss of £2.4m last year ahead of its parent company pulling the plug.
