Maritime signs deal with Allport Cargo Services

Maritime Transport has signed a contract with international freight handler Allport Cargo Services, following  12 month trial.

The deal will see Maritime dedicate 44 of its vehicles to the Allport contract, distributed between its Southampton, Tamworth, Manchester and Doncaster depots.

The contracted work will begin next month.

Mark Rollinson, group operations director at Allport Cargo Services, said he believed Maritime was a partner that will uphold Allport’s reputation of “passion for service and making our customers lives simpler”.

MD of container transport at Maritime, Simon Smart, said: “We’re delighted to be awarded this contract by Allport.

“The contract vehicles will provide Allport with the high level of service that is required for their business and by strategically placing the vehicles around our depots, it gives Allport the flexibility required in the current container market.”
