Logistics UK has strengthened its board with the appointment of three new directors who hold key posts at Kinaxia, DHL Supply Chain and BIS Henderson.
Simon Hobbs, Louisa Hosegood and Gavin Murdoch (pictured left to right) join the organisation’s board with a brief to help develop the business, aid the logistics sector's post-pandemic recovery and build close ties with government and other stakeolders.
All three new directors have extensive experience of the industry, gained in a variety of roles and transport modes.
Simon Hobbs is chief executive of Kinaxia Logistics, which currently operates more than 850 vehicles and 2.7 million square feet of warehousing nationwide.
Prior to joining Kinaxia, Hobbs gained 35 years’ experience with organisations including DHL Supply Chain, CEVA Logistics and Kuehne & Nagel.
Gavin Murdoch joined DHL Supply Chain in 1996 in Northern Ireland and has subsequently worked in many of the company’s operations around the world. Now managing director of network transport solutions at DHL Supply Chain UK&I, he leads a team of cross-sector experts tasked with driving growth, efficiency and carbon reduction, as well as upskilling the next generation of employees.

Louisa Hosegood, is strategy and transformation director for recruitment and consulting firm Bis Henderson Group and previously worked in senior roles with John Lewis Partnership, Marks & Spencer and Tesco.
Logistics UK said she is "passionate about fit-for-future joined-up supply chains", adding that Hosegood is currently central to developing innovative, customer-centric services across the Bis Henderson’s consulting, warehousing space and recruitment businesses.
Logistics UK President Phil Roe said: "Our new directors join us at an exciting time in our organisation’s development, and each brings a wealth of knowledge and business acumen which will be invaluable as we continue to drive Logistics UK forwards.
"The organisation passed 20,000 members for the first time recently, and we have ambitious plans for the year ahead – I look forward to working with them to deliver for our membership and the wider logistics industry.”
