Irish operator Nolan Transport has bought John Raymond Transport, with a view to growing its UK operation. Welsh firm John Raymond Transport, which has sites in Bridgend, Cannock and Swindon and was established in 1953, is a gold Fors member and runs 135 vehicles and 350 trailers. County Dublin family-run haulier Dixon International has switched to Michelin X Line Energy tyres across its 110-strong truck fleet after a trial revealed significant fuel savings. Us of the X Line tyres in a six month trial involving six tractive units on international work demonstrated an average 5.2% fuel saving.
