Neil Lloyd, chief executive of loss-making delivery firm Yodel, has stepped down. Turnaround specialist Lloyd was brought in two and a half years ago, with the self-stated goal of improving the firm’s customer service and improving its public image. John Lewis has announced it plans to introduce a £2 surcharge on click and collect deliveries under the value of £30, having said it can’t afford to continue to offer the service for free.
Yodel has made its sixth pre-tax loss in a row, two years after it failed to hit its self set target of turning its first profit.
