Gregory Distribution has bought fellow South-West haulier Framptons Transport Services. The acquisition is Gregory’s fifth in just over two years and further expands its footprint in the West Country, adding 245 employees, a fleet of 60 vehicles and 220,000ft² of warehousing to its 22 sites throughout the UK, home to 550 trucks and 1,600 employees. CitySprint has acquired all operations at Woking-based Eagle Express Worldwide Couriers. Its same-day, international and UK overnight operations were acquired by CitySprint on 8 December, taking its network to 35 depots and 2,000 couriers. It will be transferred over to the CitySprint brand later this month. CitySprint said the transition will be seamless for Eagle Express’ customers and it will continue to be serviced by the same staff at the same depot in Old Woking.
