TNT Express has admitted that it is unlikely to hit its profit improvement target for 2015, following an increase in competitive pressures and poor trading conditions in Europe.
The offer period for the proposed merger of UPS and TNT Express has once again been extended. Following an exemption granted by The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), the period has been extended until one week after competition clearances have been obtained from regulators, the European Commission and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
