On 10 September 170 delegates from 120 commercial vehicle operators and local businesses, running vans or trucks in and around Greater Manchester, attended a free half-day Greater Manchester Clean Air Roadshow.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and the 10 Greater Manchester authorities are working together to develop a Clean Air Plan to achieve legal levels of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) on Greater Manchester’s local road network by 2024.
At the event delegates heard first-hand from the Greater Manchester authorities about a range of clean air proposals and how they might affect businesses, including:
The event provided an opportunity for delegates to join in the conversation and comment on the detailed Clean Air Plan proposals, before they become set in stone.
Operators also heard from a series of industry experts throughout the morning in relation to helping future-proof their fleets to meet clean air requirements.
