10 September, AJ Bell Stadium, Eccles, M30 7EY, Manchester, TIME: 8.30-2pm

On 10 September, any sized commercial vehicle operator or local business running vans or trucks in and around Greater Manchester, is invited to attend a free half-day Greater Manchester Clean Air Roadshow.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and the 10 Greater Manchester authorities are working together to develop a Clean Air Plan to achieve legal levels of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) on Greater Manchester’s local road network by 2024.

At the event, you will hear first-hand from the Greater Manchester authorities about a range of clean air proposals and how they might affect your business, including:

  • A Greater Manchester Clean Air Zone aimed at HGVs, vans, buses, coaches, taxis and private hire vehicles;
  • A multi-million pound funding package to support local businesses to upgrade to cleaner vehicles;
  • A trebling of the number of electric vehicle public charging points.

This free half-day event will be an opportunity to join in the conversation and comment on the detailed Clean Air Plan proposals before they become set in stone.

Operators will also hear from a series of industry experts throughout the morning to help future-proof their fleets to meet clean air requirements, with topics including:

  • Rental, leasing and maintenance options for alternative fuel commercial vehicles;
  • Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme;
  • Case studies from HGV & van operators of the practicalities of implementing alternative fuel fleet vehicles.

This free roadshow is a must-attend event for any business running or servicing commercial vehicle fleets in and around Greater Manchester. Be ahead of the game and join in the conversation now to prepare for the forthcoming clean air requirements.

Places do fill up quickly, so make sure to register for your free place as soon as possible.
