Norbert Dentressangle takes Liberty

Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has picked up a new European warehousing and distribution deal with cable company Liberty Global. ND will establish Liberty’s European DC in Venray, the Netherlands, along with a number of regional DCs, the first of which opened last month in Switzerland. The agreement builds on an existing partnership ND has with UPC, Liberty’s European division, in the Netherlands. Fresh supermarket win for Wincanton

Wincanton has won a multi-million pound, five-year contract to set up and run a new DC in London for supermarket giant Morrisons. The deal will see Wincanton handle transport and warehousing for Morrisons from a 100,000sq-ft cross-dock facility to open in Feltham, west London early next year. Culina goes nuts over new shared-user contract

Liverpool-based nut processor and packer Trigon Snacks has awarded a new contract for warehousing and distribution of its brands, including Planters and BigD, to Culina. Under the deal, Trigon products will be stored at Culina’s Middleton depot, near Manchester, and delivered using a shared user-model to wholesalers and retailers throughout the UK. Wincanton expands B&Q contract

Wincanton has secured a multi-million pound extension on its contract with B&Q, taking on management of an additional warehouse. The firm will manage B&Q’s one million ft² showroom fulfilment centre in Burton-on-Trent, which provides warehousing for the retailer’s bathroom, bedroom and kitchen range. Wincanton has won a two-year warehousing and distribution contract with baby and toddler food manufacturer Ella’s Kitchen. The contract will see Wincanton managing inbound deliveries from factories, picking, packing and distributing five million cases a year to supermarkets across the UK and its growing list of international customers. John Mitchell turnover up as sites consolidated

John Mitchell Haulage and Warehousing saw turnover rise £1.5m as it felt the benefits of consolidating its two sites at Grangemouth into one. For the year-ending 31 March 2012, the firm reported turnover of £12m, up from £10.5m in the previous year. Pre-tax profit fell from £284,598 to £187,783, owing in part to its purchase of five acres of land adjacent to its Earls Road Industrial Estate depot in Falkirk. DHL expands Unilever warehousing capacity

DHL Supply Chain has opened its expanded capacity warehouse for long-term customer Unilever, marking the end of a 21 month project.
