Clipper Logistics has won an e-fulfilment contract with women’s exercise clothing company Vevie, following the launch of its online sales site The deal will see the logistics giant handling all inbound freight from vendors and suppliers, order fulfilment and home deliveries for Vevie’s customers across the UK and globally using a network of courier partners. Wincanton extends relationship with B&Q

Wincanton has extended its relationship with B&Q, in a deal that sees it handling inbound container logistics as well as planning deliveries across the DIY chain’s national network. The operator, which has managed B&Q’s horticulture distribution for several years, became its sole UK ports-to-distribution centre provider earlier this year. Gefco signs seven-year General Motors deal

Gefco has signed a seven-year contract with General Motors to manage inbound and outbound logistics for the US car maker across Europe. As part of the deal, which starts in 2013, Gefco will supply GM  assembly sites in the UK, Poland, Spain, Germany and Russia from European suppliers and worldwide export ports. Wincanton wins Kiddicare contract

Wincanton has won a contract with Kiddicare to handle the fulfilment of the retailer’s new superstores, including its new flagship Peterborough store. Kiddicare, owned by supermarket giant Morrisons, currently generates 85% of business through online orders, but following the acquisition of a number of former Best Buy sites in January, it is looking to expand its service to become a multichannel operation. Ceva Logistics signs €50m contract with Crown Paint

Ceva Logistics has had its 26 year relationship with Crown Paint extended after it signing a five and a half year contract, worth €50m (£40.3m). The contract will see Ceva manage Crown’s trade warehouse operation, nationwide distribution of retail and trade product, and inter-site and bulk transport movements. Ceva Logistics has won a five-year contract to provide a two-man home delivery service for bed manufacturer Silentnight Group. Under the deal, Ceva’s specialist home delivery unit, Ceva Home, will make over 70,000 deliveries a year, collecting mattresses and divan bases from two manufacturing sites in Lancashire and Cumbria and delivering direct to customers six days a week on behalf of national retailers. Wincanton wins £60m Dairy Crest renewal

Wincanton has won a £60m, three-year milk distribution renewal with Dairy Crest, which will extend the firms’ partnership to 21 years of working together. The deal will see the logistics giant collecting milk from more than 600 farms across southern England and Wales and transporting it, via a 100-strong fleet, to four Dairy Crest dairies. Ceva Logistics has renewed its contract with newspaper publishers Trinity Mirror for five years, building on a ten-year relationship between the two parties. As part of the contract Ceva makes 33,000 deliveries of the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror to Trinity Mirror’s wholesaler network each year. It comes a week after the business revealed it had signed its first totally organic milk collection contract with the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative. SJ Bargh has signed its first entirely organic milk contract with the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (Omsco) The three-year deal will see the logistics company collecting around 50 million litres of milk a year from farms in Central England, North Wales, Lancashire and Yorkshire. The operation, which began last month, is based at SJ Bargh’s Endon depot near Stoke-on-Trent.
