This award is for the inhouse or third party repair and maintenance workshop that delivers on all four counts. Calling all network operators!

December 3, 2012 Steve Hobson

The new category introduced in the 2012 awards for Network of the Year will again be running in 2013. Network of the Year is open to any national transport or logistics operator with multiple DCs or depots, including pallet networks, parcels carriers, hauliers and own-account operators. Livery of the Year is back!

November 26, 2012 Steve Hobson

The Award – last presented to Branston for its series of witty potato promotions – is for a truck, […]

Telematics has revealed the stark difference in performance between the best and worst drivers, and while training and incentives will often move the worst up to the average, […]

2012 Haulier of the Year CM Downton profiled

August 3, 2012 Steve Hobson

The 2012 Haulier of the Year, CM Downton, is a family-run firm based in Moreton Valence, Gloucestershire. Despite MD Andy Downton’s self-deprecatory comments about the family just being simple West Country folk, the company is highly respected for its professionalism and consistent strong performance. In an industry characterised by brutally low margins, where hauliers are often confronted with the unpalatable choice of buying unprofitable business or protecting profit at the expense of turnover, Downton has achieved the remarkable feat of […]
