Police visit HGV drivers at Lymm Truckstop in bid to reduce vehicle and cargo crime

Cleveland Police has dropped its investigation into an HGV training company that entered administration last year.

LGV operators should not feel they are being singled out in the drive to cut cyclist deaths and injuries in London, as modifications to make construction vehicles safer are just part of a package of measures being introduced to improve cycle safety, London major Boris Johnson said on Monday (9 December).

Hauliers will stop bringing goods into the UK if the government ploughs on with proposals to levy fines of £2,000 per stowaway found in vehicles, regardless of the security measures taken, Logistics UK has warned.
