Commercial real estate investor Firethorn Trust has appointed construction firm Glencar to build a 93,984sq ft last-mile logistics scheme in south-east London.

The project, dubbed Blueprint Erith, will be built by construction firm Glencar. Work will begin on site this month with the project due for completion in Q1 2023.

This is Glencar’s second appointment by Firethorn this year. In January it was chosen by the investor to build a 500,000sq ft scheme across three units at a site in Peterborough.

The Blueprint Erith project will begin with the demolition and site clearance of an existing warehouse and external concrete yard, followed by the construction of four modern single storey terraced warehouse units, having a clear height to underside of haunch of 12 metres.

The scheme will also feature 12,000sq ft of internal first floor office accommodation together with open storage, while external site works include hardstandings, car parking, landscaping and drainage.
