Electric and hydrogen truck maker Tevva is launching a campaign to recruit up to 1,000 people following the opening of its Nuneaton base.
A recruitment event will take place at the Horiba Mira Technology Park on April 28 where it will be looking to attract software engineers, hardware engineers, cybersecurity experts and people working in battery and hydrogen technologies.
The majority of the roles will be at its Tilbury headquarters.
Earlier this month, the company said it was growing “at a rate of knots” and its Nuneaton base was chosen so that it could access Horiba Mira’s specialist engineering and testing capabilities.
Tevva’s trucks have already undergone extensive trials at the Mira Technology Park, including software and climatic testing, as the company gears up for series production of its truck which is due to begin shortly at its main UK base Tevva London.

Last month, Thurrock MP Stephen Metcalfe visited its Tilbury site and described it as “a real boost for the local economy where up to 1,000 jobs will be created over the next few years.
“The company’s plans link perfectly to the government’s vision for UK growth in our Build Back Better plan,” he said.
“I was impressed by Tevva’s ambition and obvious determination to make electric commercial vehicles an everyday thing.
“I was also encouraged by the number of young engineers that Tevva is taking on, especially as I’m so passionate about that industry.
“They have the expertise and now they have the facility to grow their plans, the future certainly looks bright for Tevva.”
