More than 100 HGV drivers employed by GXO on its Co-op supermarket contract in Avonmouth have been given a 15% pay increase after their union stepped in to discuss concerns. The strike by Booker Retail delivery drivers, which threatened to hit deliveries to 1,500 convenience stores in London and the south east ahead of Christmas, has been called off at the eleventh hour.
