One of the largest electric waste and street cleansing fleets in the UK has been unveiled by Westminster Council and partner Veolia. The 60-strong new and upcycled EVs include e-RCVs, e-trikes and e-sweepers and will allow an 89% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to diesel alternatives. Royal Mail began conditional trading on the London Stock Exchange this morning (11 October), with shares rising in value by over a third just an hour and a half into its listing.
Parcel carrier CitySprint saw delivery volumes drop in London during the Games. The company, which handles B2B and consumer deliveries, made 75,000 deliveries to London postcodes during the Games. This was a 12% drop in volume compared with the 16 days proceeding the event (23 June to 7 July).
