DFDS Logistics has acquired the Danish freight forwarding firm ICT Logistics, which it said would strengthen and develop its eastern European position.
ICT transports full and part loads between east and west Europe via road, air, sea and rail. Its services include oversize cargo, warehousing, distribution, and customs clearance.
As well as in the UK, it also has offices in Germany, Latvia, Romania, Ukraine and Germany.
It runs a fleet of around 20 HGVs and 600 trailers, employs 80 people and last reported an annual revenue of DKK 260m (£29.9m).

“The expansion of our logistics network also complements our Baltic ferry route network.”
The company also pointed to ICT’s “strong sustainability commitment” and their shared commitment to the UN’s sustainability goals.
ICT was formed in 1997 and DFDS has owned 19.9% of its shares since 2003.
Earlier this month, DFDS said it had fitted solar panels to its warehouse roof in Peterborough, which would generate 25% of its electricity and offset 11 tonnes of carbon in its first year.
