APC delivery network member GB Couriers have appointed three new senior staff after experiencing strong growth driven by the continuing surge in online shopping.

GB Couriers, which offers overnight parcel collection and delivery services to local businesses across LU1 - LU7 postcodes, has seen a 22% growth in the past six months, driven by a surge in online shopping across Luton and Dunstable, which has seen its top ten customers achieve an average of 44% growth in the last six months.

The three new recruits will join the delivery firm’s 15-strong team. Bee Saleem has been appointed customer service executive to ensure SME customers have day-to-day contact to assist with any enquiries. The three new recruits join GB Couriers’ 15-strong team.

Jonathan Smith, chief executive at APC Overnight, said: “The strength and determination of the UK’s SMEs continues to prevail. Throughout the first half of 2021 - and even as lockdown restrictions have eased - we are still seeing high demand for delivery services, as consumers continue to shop online and businesses continue to rely on carriers to get these items delivered.

“The ongoing dedication and hard work of our colleagues at GB Couriers will be key to supporting this, ensuring that the needs of customers are recognised, and working closely with them to ensure those needs are met.”
