CitySprint has opened a new service centre in Sheffield in response to increased demand for courier and logistics services in the region.
In particular, the same day distribution company said it had experienced a “huge boost” in DIY retail logistics.
The new hub enables CitySprint to support its neighbouring Nottingham and Leeds service centres, as well as the surrounding areas of Barnsley, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Worksop and Chesterfield.
It said it would also be better placed to carry out logistics work for Sheffield Children’s Hospital and BMI Thornberry Hospital too.
Alongside the launch of the new site, CitySprint is also looking to recruit 20 couriers in the Sheffield area.
