Two of Carrier Transicold’s network service partners have relocated to new locations as part of wider plans to build their customer bases.

Robson Refrigeration (pictured), which trades as Carrier Transicold East & North Yorkshire, has spent more than £1m on a new 12,000 sq. ft. workshop near Hull, which is four times larger than its previous site and based close to the Humber Bridge and A63, which links Leeds and Hull.

It has also taken delivery of the first two of five new service vans for its mobile engineers this year, as well as recruiting additional support staff and a new engineering apprentice.

Colin Robson, managing director, Robson Refrigeration said: "We have been planning this move for a number of years to help us meet the demands of our growing customer base.

“This gives us the space we need to accelerate our growth and take full advantage of the opportunities available to us with Carrier.

“We believe the decisions we’ve made with this new facility truly underline our commitment to Carrier Transicold. This workshop will help us deliver a step up in performance for our customers, along with a safe, efficient, and temperature-controlled working environment for our team. We’re confident it will more than meet the demands of both Carrier’s current, and next generation of products.”

“We’re always looking at ways to improve, and this move has certainly helped achieve that. Our East Midlands operation now enjoys a much more convenient location with easy access to the M1, which means we can support customers much more efficiently.”
