Ministers have agreed to increase funding for HGV apprenticeships to £7,000, after the road haulage Trailblazer Group (TBG) rejected the previously announced level of £6,000. Global group Gefco, which owns Gefco UK, saw revenues fall by almost a fifth last year after Covid-19 forced the closure of its customers’ car manufacturing plants.
