A “mob of immigrants” in Calais attacked a vehicle belonging to haulage and truck sales firm EM Rogers in the early hours of Friday (14 May), causing extensive damage. A “highly experienced” Spanish lorry driver, who had been driving on the UK’s roads for 26 years, has been jailed for two years after killing a man whilst driving in the wrong lane on an A-road.
The DVSA insisted a list of operators committing drivers’ hours offences that it released during road safety week was correct after an operator told motortransport.co.uk it should never have been included.
