Thermo King has approved the use of fossil-free hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as a sustainable alternative to traditional diesel to power its refrigeration units. It said that following thorough tests, the HVO biodiesel showed no effect on its units’ performance, even in freezing temperatures.
