Adams Morey MD Kevin Swinnerton said he was excited to welcome Kingdon Wessex DAF to its dealer network, adding that he was "looking forward to more prosperity".
The acquistion provides Adams Morey with an area of operation across the whole south-west of England from Cornwall to Basingstoke and its headquarters at Southampton. This includes a main service centres at Heathfield, near Newton Abbot, Saltash and Taunton, together with a TRP all-makes service centre at Camborne.
Adams Morey is part of the Shropshire-based Greenhous Group, and the latest acquisition makes it one of the largest DAF dealer groups in Europe. At the same time, Adams Morey has appointed a new dealer principal, James Harding, who joins the group after senior roles within the Iveco network.
“Kingdon Wessex has spent considerable time building trusted relationships and hold similar core values to Adams Morey, including providing quality care for customers and staff," Swinnerton said. "Nick Kingdon has developed a wonderful independent business which has rightly earned a great deal of respect from its customers for the level of customer service it has delivered."
Nick Kingdon added: “It was not an easy decision to sell the business after so many years, but we do so with complete confidence in Adams Morey to maintain the spirit of service that we have fostered with our customers and staff.
