MT award winner Expect Distribution has reignited its relationship with Volvo Trucks after a decade apart and added six new FH 6x2 tractor units to its fleet.
The Bradford-based warehousing, contract logistics and palletised freight firm said it had been impressed with the fuel consumption of a demonstrator vehicle and so it had taken on the FHs, with globetrotter cabs and 12-speed I-Shift gearbox, on contract hire.

Supplied by Iain Cass at Crossroads Truck and Bus, they will be double shifted, working on a variety of long-distance trunking and multi-drop work and expected to cover roughly 140,000 km per year.
Andy Taylor, Expect Distribution transport director, said: “The vehicles come with some strong claims relating to fuel and uptime and that was backed up by the demonstrator.
“Now we are looking forward to putting them through their paces in our busy operation.”
