Way of the Roses Ride

Transaid’s live fund-raising events will make a welcome return with the Way of the Roses coast-to-coast cycle challenge on 24 to 26 September 2021.

The event, which is sponsored by UKWA, will be the overseas transport development charity's sixth UK-based cycle challenge. There are 40 spaces available on the ride, which will include two days cycling over 170 miles and two overnight stays.

The registration fee is £99 and the minimum fund-raising target is £1,000. Both team and individual entries are encouraged.

This year’s challenge will involve two days of scenic cycling through the beautiful Lancashire countryside and Yorkshire Dales, before culminating in a much-deserved celebratory dinner on the final night.

The route starts in Morecambe, running 77 hilly miles to the the first overnight stop in Harrogate. Day two will be a flatter 95 mile leg taking in the sights of the historic walled city of York, before finishing in Bridlington.

Places are strictly limited, so don’t delay in grabbing your spot on this unforgettable challenge.
