Hermes has extended its deal with last mile delivery tech firm PostTag after positive results following a six-month trial. The consumer delivery company said the technology helped it maintain a high first-time delivery rate, despite a huge upturn in volumes as a result of the pandemic. Gist has won one new contract and extended another with retailer Morrisons and flower supplier Dutch Flower Group respectively.
DHL has won a nationwide vehicle distribution contract with car dealership Vindis Group. The new contract will see DHL’s vehicle distribution arm Inside Track handle over 4,000 movements of new and demonstrator vehicles per year from Vindis’ site in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire, while the majority of the deliveries will take place in the East of England. Ceva Logistics has renewed its contract with newspaper publishers Trinity Mirror for five years, building on a ten-year relationship between the two parties. As part of the contract Ceva makes 33,000 deliveries of the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror to Trinity Mirror’s wholesaler network each year.
