Burnley-based EFS Global is back on the acquisition trail, snapping up freight forwarder AFI UK for an undisclosed sum.

Headquartered at the World Freight Terminal in Manchester, AFI UK provides bespoke freight forwarding and logistics services in the UK and internationally.
The deal follows a number of other acquisitions made by EFS in recent years, including Euro SDB, CS Brunt Freight Services, Horizon Distribution, Bradtrans International, Euro-Tran Despatch, JRS Traction, PDQ Specialist Courier Services, FWD Freight Services and Caistor Distribution last August.
The Palletways member now has 12 depots and offices across the country.
