Transport industry divided over Spring Budget


 

The transport industry has given a mixed reaction to today’s (3 March) Spring Budget. Logistics UK welcomed chancellor Rishi Sunak’s moves to support the recovery of the economy, including a freeze in fuel duty and extension to the furlough scheme, but said the industry needed to see greater investment in training programmes to help fill growing job vacancies.
