Gist has taken delivery of 50 reefer trailers from its preferred supplier TIP Trailer Services.
Based on a Schmitz trailer chassis, the 13.4m trailers are all single compartment with the Thermo King SLXi-200 refrigeration system fitted online at the Schmitz factory in Germany.
The latest 50 trailer fleet additions mean that TIP now has over 400 trailers on rent with Gist.
Lee Costen, operations controller at Gist, said: “We currently use TIP for leasing new build trailers as well as for both short- and long-term reefer rental for the Christmas peak times, with our trailer fleet covering single and double deck trailers for both fridge and ambient applications.”
Mike Furnival, MD at TIP Trailer Services, UK & Ireland added: “When we first started working with Gist back in 2014, initially as a peak season reefer supplier, it was the start of what has now become a really strong partnership.”
