NWH Group secured delivery of three new MAN skip loaders in less than a month thanks to MV Commercial, after rising demand for skip hire services prompted a fast turnaround.
The new TGM 4x2 skip loaders, two with Multilift bodywork and one with Boughton bodywork, will be used across the company’s hire division, as well as for its wait and load services.
The waste collection company said “significant” growth in demand from customers during the pandemic led to it extending its skip loader fleet and it took delivery of the vehicles from MV Commercial in a matter of weeks: “From our initial conversation to taking delivery of the liveried vehicles, took less than a month – considerably less than had we ordered a new chassis from a dealer and then waited to get it bodied,” said Craig Williams, NWH group operations director.
The 18-tonne rigids will operate out of the company’s Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle sites.
