UPS has confirmed its introduction of a surcharge on UK customers to reflect disruption caused by the Covid-19 outbreak and rocketing demand for online goods. Whistl UK reported a £4.7m pre-tax loss in 2019 as it battled to remain competitive in the parcels and Downstream Access (DSA) markets as start-up inefficiencies racked up at its Bedford ‘super hub’.
DX (Group) said trading for the first half of the new financial year remained ahead of expectations and ahead of the same period in 2019, with plans for another depot to open shortly.
