Andrew Spencer

Andrew Spencer has left United Pallet Network (UPN) to return to Pallet-Track as network development director.

Spencer’s brief is to identify opportunities to strengthen Pallett-Track's 90-plus shareholder member network.

Spencer brings a wealth of experience to the job having held senior roles at both companies over a period of almost 20 years.

In 2001 Spencer joined UPN as sales director, leaving the network in 2005 to take on the same role at Pallet-Track. Four years later Spencer returned to UPN as regional director, a role he held until this year.

“I have enjoyed my two stints at UPN, but returning to Pallet-Track is like returning home,” said Spencer.

He added: “It is well known as a very stable network, a great reputation built up under Nigel Parkes’ stewardship.

“From the IT to the way people are treated, it’s all about making the right moves and the development of the wrap-around services to support members and maintain Pallet-Track’s well-earned network status.”

Pallet-Track founder Nigel Parkes said: “Having Andy back in the fold is a great asset to the business as we move into the next phase of development and growth.

“I have known him for many years and have always respected his judgement as a trusted colleague. He is known for his rigour and professionalism because he understands the demands of the sector - he will be a great asset to the business moving forward.”
