Suttons Tankers has landed a major ten-year contract for the transportation of bio-resources for Yorkshire Water.
The Widnes-based company, which operates a fleet of 700 tankers, has been appointed by Yorkshire Water to help it deliver on its commitment to OFWAT to be the UK’s market leading bio-resources provider by 2025.
Bio-resource services cover wastewater sludge transport, treatment, recycling and disposal.
Suttons Tankers won the deal on the back of its ability to provide an efficient, safe and bespoke solution as well as a commitment to provide continuous improvement and an innovation-led operation throughout the contract.
Suttons’ solution will also reduce Yorkshire Water’s costs and its environmental impact, resulting in nearly 10,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions saved each year.
