309-Carrier-Transicold-Vector-1550-Stewarts-of-Tayside

A 16-year relationship between Stewarts of Tayside and Carrier Transicold shows no signs of thawing after the Perthshire fruit and veg firm took delivery of 10 new refrigerated trailers.

The single-temperature Vector 1550 units are mounted to 13.6m Gray & Adams trailers and have been equally split between new additions to the trailer fleet and replacements for older units.

The trailers will stay in operation for around seven years, making nationwide deliveries seven days a week and clocking up around 100,000 miles a year.

They join a 30-strong trailer fleet that has been 100% Carrier-cooled since 2004.

Jim Winn, Stewarts of Tayside transport manager, said: “Since we first specified the Vector 1550 refrigeration unit, we’ve never looked back; it’s a solid, all round unit that gives us reliable temperature control and performance.”
