Pallet-Track’s one millionth pallet has passed through its northern hub in Wigan – carrying a consignment of household cleaning products to help fight the Covid-19 virus.

The pallet was delivered into the hub by Warrington-based Revolution Transport before making its final journey south with PGS Global Logistics in Birmingham.

Pallet-Track said that despite “challenging trading conditions”, the milestone was reached during the UK’s lockdown.

Its northern hub was opened in 2017 creating 20 new jobs and Pallet-Track MD Nigel Parkes said a million pallets was reached in record time: “This was our first standalone hub development in the north of England and it has really helped secure our future in this important region by allowing us to manage volumes and flow in a more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly way,” he said.
