Bridgestone has launched its first ever all-season tyre for the light truck segment, the DURAVIS All Season. Available from August, Bridgestone said the tyre had been designed with both small and large fleets in mind, enabling them to keep going in adverse weather conditions thanks to its high volume slots in its shoulder for improved water evacuation. At the CV Show 2014, contract hire and rental giant Ryder announced it was renewing a five year tyre supply contract with Bridgestone, covering most of its fleet of 25,000 vans, trucks and trailers. Ryder has exclusively used Bridgestone rubber for over 20 years, but 2014 was a watershed in the two companies’ relationship, which became a true partnership rather than just a long term supply agreement.
