Goodyear has landed a three-year partnership with Maxi Haulage to supply the firm with premium tyres and Truckforce support.
The deal will see Maxi Haulage’s fleet kitted out with premium tyres from the KMAX GEN-range and receive 24/7 support from TruckForce, under the Goodyear Total Mobility offering.
Maxi Haulage, which provides haulage, distribution and logistics across the UK and Ireland, runs 160 trucks and almost 700 trailers. Of these, 157 tractors and 672 trailers will be fitted with the Goodyear KMAX GEN-2 tyre range as part of a strategy to optimise tyre life.
The tyre range has low rolling resistance and optimised treadwear to help cut fuel costs, and, according to Goodyear has 25% better all-weather capability, 15% more damage resistance and 5% higher fuel efficiency than its predecessor.
Maxi haulage trucks fitted with the KMAX GEN-2 tyre range will also have a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag embedded inside the tyre which connects to tyre management and tracking systems and prevents tyre theft.
Under the deal Maxi Haulage will also use Goodyear retreading service Next Tread and will benefit from TruckForce, Goodyear’s national commercial vehicle support network.
TruckForce technicians will carry out on-site tyre checks on Maxi Haulage’s fleet every quarter and provide 24/7 roadside assistance and reactive tyre maintenance through its Service Line 24hr.
