The Department for Transport has announced that the current limited drivers’ hours relaxation will be extended until 23.59hrs on Tuesday 21 April 2020 and apply to all road haulage operations. Over two thirds of logistics firms predict Brexit will harm their business, Logistics UK report reveals
Over two thirds of logistics firms are predicting that Brexit will have an adverse effect on their business whilst more than half are unhappy at the level of government support, a report from Logistics UK and accountancy firm CBW has revealed.
The government has ruled out funding HGV licence acquisitions to ease the current driver shortage in the UK, according to DfT minister Lord Ahmed.
