Redditch-based S Walker Transport has closed down after almost three decades in business, with the loss of 39 jobs. Struggling M and J Haulage threw in the towel after learning client British Sugar was to reduce its work, report reveals
Major sugar beet haulier M and J Haulage collapsed into administration due to a heavy reliance on finance to fund investments, low margins and the prospect of less work from British Sugar, according to KPMG.
Failed container haulier Deben Transport owed unsecured creditors close to £2.4m when it was placed into administration on 13 April, as well as more than £1.4m to HMRC.
Removal and storage firm Pickfords has completed a pre-pack administration led by its existing management team. Administrator BDO, which was appointed to the Wembley-based Moving Services Group UK on 23 November, sold the removal firm to recently incorporated Pickfords Move Management on the same day.
