Innovation & Technology in Transport Hub (ITT Hub) and the FTA have released full programme details for the FTA’s Future Logistics Conference that will be taking place on both days of the inaugural ITT Hub 2020 event in May this year.
Organised in conjunction with strategic partner the Freight Transport Association and taking place in the heart of ITT Hub 2020 at Farnborough International, the FTA Future Logistics Conference will feature 45 sessions delivered by more than 100 industry-leading speakers over two days, structured around four key themes.
Leading the line-up at the FTA Future Logistics Conference is internationally renowned keynote speaker Major Tim Peake CMG, who was the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station.
He will be followed by a long list of prominent names from the passenger transport, logistics and energy sectors, including representatives from Centrica, Dell Technologies, First Group, Midlands Connect, Greener Journeys, Greenpeace, Highways England, Lloyds Banking Group, Low CVP, Lucketts Travel, National Grid, Oxford Robotics, Tesco, TfL, Transport for the South East, and UPS.
Each of these streams - Future Data, Future Vehicles, Future Business Strategies and Future Communities - have been designed to provide a highly informative and thought-provoking output for those attending.
One of the many high-profile speakers will be Tricia Hayes CB, Director General, Roads, Places and Environment at the Department for Transport (DfT).
Many leading manufacturers including Volvo, DAF, Wrightbus, Zenobe Energy, Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Williams Advanced Engineering, Renault Trucks and Pelican Yutong will also be providing insight across the four conference streams.
Delegates are automatically entitled to attend the conference when they register for the exhibition, with places being free and allocated on a first come first served basis on the day.

The programme, which will be regularly updated in the run up to the event is fully searchable by session, speaker and conference stream and it will be possible for delegates to mix and match sessions over the four streams across both days of ITT Hub 2020 (13 & 14 May) as required.
In terms of the four conference streams, Future Data is described as the engine room for future logistics and examines the main drivers and what is happening in technology and the anticipated impact on transport and logistics.
Future Vehicles will look at the future transport and logistics environment and the choices to be made on vehicles and fuels as well as who are the key innovators.
Future Business Strategies covers how transport and logistics businesses will need to change and embrace future requirements, including managing change, resilience and risk and potential government help.
Last but not least, Future Communities will focus on how cities are the main focus for future innovation and policy and how they should manage congestion, pollution and safety as well as how towns and rural areas can avoid being left behind.
