The DVSA has given management software firm Convey Technology the seal of approval to supply Earned Recognition (ER) technology to fleet operators. The DVSA’s Earned Recognition scheme has finally moved into its pilot stage after a protracted build up.
Earned recognition is a flagship DVSA scheme designed to drastically reduce the time wasted checking up on compliant operators in order to free up limited enforcement resources to improve road safety by focusing on the seriously and serially non-compliant.
The FTA has said it is important that the requirements for DVSA’s earned recognition scheme are realistic, but should still challenge participants to be exemplary operators.
