The DVSA has given management software firm Convey Technology the seal of approval to supply Earned Recognition (ER) technology to fleet operators.

The IT firm said its suite of compliance products enable companies to gather, analyse and interpret compliance data that fall within the requirements of the ER standard.

Convey now includes ER dashboards and reporting as a standard feature, as well as “an intuitive multi-level graphical drill-down feature".

It explained that this allows operators to view and benchmark their own performance against defined ER KPIs and identify any problem depots and drivers before they join the scheme.

Once fleet operators are comfortable that they meet the criteria, they can then apply to join the scheme and undertake the formal accreditation process.

Steve Fisher, Convey Technology MD said: “Through the provision of regular reports to the DVSA, operators will be less likely to be stopped at the side of the road for random inspections – saving them time, money and inconvenience, and freeing their drivers up to do the job in hand.”
