CM Downton has capped off a successful year by sealing new and extended business worth more than £40m.

The Gloucestershire-based EV Cargo company has won a nationwide distribution contract with turf supplier Rolawn; extended its contract with container manufacturer Berry Global and sealed a deal with Belgian logistics firm 2XL to distribute ambient food products arriving at Tilbury docks to Aldi and Lidl distribution centres.

Furthermore, it is undertaking warehousing and distribution for Pet Foods UK as part of a new deal and using its Dunstable base to provide primary trunking for the Smiths News magazine packing hub in Hemel Hempstead.
