AGRO Merchants Group has announced further investments into its business in Northern Ireland, primarily focused on transportation. Former Euromix Concrete finance director David Marsh has been disqualified for eight years from any involvement in the promotion, formation or management of a company. It came after he provided the Insolvency Service with a disqualification undertaking, having admitted to fraudulent abuse of an invoice discounting facility.
Profit at Hargreaves Services’ transport division plummeted by more than£1m in the six months to November 2015, as the company was hammered by adverse conditions in the coal, steel, construction and waste markets and unseasonably warm winter weather.
